Account Executive  -  Boston, MA metro region

Position Summary:

​

Calico Technical Staffing is seeking experienced, results-driven Account Executives to join us in the Boston, MA metro region.   Assigned region includes the surrounding New England area.

​

This role is a blend of consultative sales, business development, and account management.  We seek people that are able to build and foster strong relationships, identify and create opportunities, drive and close sales, and manage accounts.  Knowledge of the business and technical landscapes is required to be successful in this role.

 

Responsibilities:

​

  • Drive and manage the sales and new account strategies for assigned sector and/or region.

    • Execute sales and account strategies to meet business targets.

    • Identify opportunities and acquire new accounts.  Develop and manage a sales pipeline.

    • Engage directly with clients and prospects while building long-term relationships.

    • Listen and work with clients and prospects to fully understand organizational and technical needs.

    • Navigate procurement processes.

    • Anticipate and respond to customer needs, market realities and changes.

    • Qualify and vet prospects and new opportunities.

    • Drive and close sales - convert prospects and opportunities into sales and revenue.

    • Partner and work with Calico staff to qualify requirements, develop proposals, and submit candidates for placement.

  • Manage existing accounts to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction, retention and repeat business.

    • Facilitate ongoing engagement with accounts.

    • Leverage accounts for growth.

    • Nurture client relationships and uncover new opportunities within existing accounts.

    • Anticipate and respond to any changes in client business and technical needs.

    • Effectively work with Calico staff to qualify requirements and submit proposals.

    • Working with Calico staff, manage candidates placed at accounts throughout life of engagement.

  • Keep abreast of trends and advances within industry.

  • Actively promote and raise awareness of our company via:

    • Active participation and leadership in local industry associations, conferences, networking events, user groups, etc.

    • Utilization of social media, LinkedIn, media outlets, and other.

 

Requirements:

 

  • ​Sales and business savvy.

    • 7+ years of successful experience in sales, consulting, or business development.

    • Successful experience identifying and creating opportunities, driving and closing sales.

    • Experience in staffing industry or consulting is a plus.

  • Experience developing and submitting bids and proposals.

  • Excellent presentation and communications skills.

    • Ability to effectively engage with and present to all levels of an organization (i.e. technical gurus, hiring managers, executives).

    • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

  • Background in a technical, engineering or scientific field is preferred.

  • Ability to learn and understand technology, technical roles and technical skills. 

  • Working with prospects, clients, candidates, and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner is a must.

  • Ability to promote and raise awareness of our company via:

    • Active participation and leadership in local industry associations, conferences, networking events,  user groups, etc.

    • Adept utilization of social media, LinkedIn, media outlets, and other.

  • BS or MS in a relevant field  -or-  equivalent experience

  • This may be home office based in a dedicated home office space.

    • Home office account executives are expected to be available for prompt and regular contact:  calls, email, online messaging, video conferencing, and other.

    • Home office account executives will be required to be available on-site for scheduled meetings.

  • This role is customer and public facing with a high level of prospecting, calls, client visits and meetings.   Local / regional travel and client presence are required in order to be successful.
