Position Summary:
​
Calico Technical Staffing is seeking experienced Technical Recruiters to join us in the Raleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill, NC region. Knowledge of the technical landscape along with a strong background recruiting for technical, engineering, and scientific positions is preferred.
We seek people that have an innate ability to build relationships and attract high quality talent. We also seek people who are highly self-motivated, reliably self-managed, and look for ways to improve the recruiting process.

Responsibilities:

Drive and manage the full life-cycle recruiting process for assigned job requisitions.

Review - review job descriptions in order to fully understand the technical and business needs of the client organization and hiring manager.
-
Source - efficiently and effectively source and recruit highly qualified candidates using a variety of methods and best practices. Includes recruiting passive candidates and individuals that are not aware on an opportunity.

Screen - efficiently and effectively assess the qualifications of candidates against the technical job description.

Interview - meet and speak (i.e. telephone, Skype / video conference, in person) with candidates to further ascertain their competencies and background against the technical job description, fit with hiring organization, and employ-ability.

Inform - educate candidates about the hiring organization, its culture and history and opportunities.

Negotiate - negotiate salary, rates, and other details with candidates during recruitment process.

Close - close and sell candidates on positions that are the best fit for them.

Present - present qualified and employable candidates to hiring leaders for review within established timelines. Submit a complete summary (resume / CV, evaluation, outline of strengths and weaknesses, etc.) for each candidate.

Follow-up - communicate and follow-up with candidates to keep them informed of status during process.

Develop and execute recruitment strategies, to include difficult to find skill sets and positions.

Make adjustments as requirements or needs change.

Build long-term relationships and make connections with people.

Grow a resume database and pipeline of high-quality talent.

Keep abreast of recruiting trends, best practices, and technical advances.

Actively source talent and raise awareness of our company by:

Attend and participate in local industry conferences, networking events, user groups, job fairs, etc.

Adeptly utilize and post to social media, LinkedIn, job boards, and other media outlets.

Requirements:
​

Proven ability to source and recruit highly qualified and employable candidates.
-
5+ years full life-cycle recruiting and HR experience. Experience in an agency is a plus.

Background and experience recruiting for technical, engineering or scientific fields is preferred.

This individual may continue to recruit in (but may not be limited to) areas of experience and strength.

Ability to learn and understand technology, technical roles and technical skills.

The successful candidate in this role will effectively engage with people at all levels of an organization and with various technical / scientific disciplines. ​

Ability to effectively utilize recruitment technology, to include applicant tracking systems, e-recruitment, job boards, social networking, LinkedIn, media outlets, and other.

Working with candidates, colleagues, and others in a courteous and professional manner is an absolute must.

Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. English language fluency.

Ability to manage and fill multiple, active requisitions.

Capacity to actively source talent and raise awareness of our company by:

BS or MS in a relevant field -or- equivalent experience.

This is a commission-based role with a generous commission plan.

Regional specialization and networking - Raleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill, NC and the surrounding Carolinas and Virginia.

This may be home office based.

Home office based recruiters are expected to have a dedicated office work space away from distractions. It is important to present a professional image, focus and provide full attention during communication with candidates and clients.

Home office recruiters are expected to be available for prompt and regular contact: calls, email, online messaging, video conferencing, and other.

Home office based recruiters will be required to be available on-site for scheduled meetings or as needed.​

May be required to meet with clients to fully understand the technical and business needs of the client organization and hiring manager.

May be required to meet in-person with candidates. This may be at a convenient location (i.e. local coffee shop) or at the Calico office.
